Become a local host of an ECSS Annual Congress!

We would like to draw your attention again to the ECSS bidding procedure for the 32nd (2027) and 33rd (2028) ECSS Annual Congress!
The submission deadline is 28 February 2024!
After our record-breaking congress ECSS Paris 2023 with over 3000 participants, we want to build on this fantastic event for our upcoming congresses ECSS Glasgow 2024, ECSS Rimini 2025 and beyond. To further develop sport science in the diversity of European destinations, promote international scientific networking and support young researchers in their careers, we would like to invite you once again to apply as a local host for one of our future congresses.
In the ECSS Bidding Guidelines – Stage 1 you will find a first overview of all requirements necessary to host an ECSS congress as well as further information on the general bidding procedure. Upon sending an official ‘letter of interest’ to office@sport-science.org, you will receive the ECSS Bidding Manual - Stage 2, which gives you a detailed overview on how to prepare your bid.

Please note that the ECSS Annual Congress is held on a rotational basis in the different regions of Europe. It is unlikely that the congress will return to the country where it has just taken place in the next 5 years.
